A FUPD Bullbar is a bullbar that has been designed, made and then tested in conjunction with the current legislation to lessen fatalities in the event of a front end collision. The vehicle must comply in three ways, one being to have the current Euro4 engine and UNECER29 which pertains to the vehicles cabin strength. Most importantly, from our position, is that the bullbar must be designed to withstand huge impact loads, proving that the likelihood of anything going under the vehicle (cars, livestock, etc) has been reduced. Once the bullbar has been designed, it must be tested in a certified test rig, overseen by an engineer, to prove beyond doubt that it can indeed withstand the test pressures outlined in the current legislation. Nearly all vehicles with a manufacture date of 2008 or newer comply with these specifications.
The first new FUPD Bullbar for each model has been designed in conjunction with our engineer and then crash tested on our test rig to ensure that it complies with government regulations set down by the relevant states. Once the design has been proven, we then proceed with manufacturing the following bullbars to the same standard, knowing that they are strong enough to comply.
